Boyd's Busy Week

Another teenager - ugghhh!! I woke up to Boyd's birthday to tell him Happy 13th and realized I had another teenager in the house. Skyler informed me I now have three teenagers and I am glad he is not the fourth. Boyd had a busy week.....He spent his birthday going to see Star Trek (very good by the way), KFC for dinner, and then a flaming bowl of ice cream to top it all off. The rest of the week he spent preparing and performing in the Renaissance Faire, and another concert - this time on the electric keyboard. I hope all of his teenage weeks are not this busy

She is Done!!!

Can you believe it....one year of college is already over. We picked Britt up last weekend from Cedar City and took her to Orem to live with my parents for the summer. How I wish she could come home, but she has to stay in Utah to get her residency. She has enough credits now to be classified as a junior, and will finish school in two years. Way to go babe!!!

Let's not Repeat This one

This past week has been one I don't want to repeat. I got the dreaded phone call last weekend that my father had a small heart attack and would need a stint in his heart. Well, that stint ended up being open heart surgery with a quadruple bypass. Of course, you could not have kept me at home so I headed to Orem with Skyler and Cortnie. I spent the next four days in and out of the hospital with my brothers and sister and mother. It was not an easy thing to do to say good-bye before surgery and then to sit there knowing he was on a bypass machine. I am happy to report that all is well now though and he is home. My dad is a hero of mine and one of the most spiritual men that I know. I love him so much and am so glad that he is still here with us.
